The world lost a giant. Pat Summitt. Though I am not a Vol nor a big Vol fan, one would have to be really something to not recognize the character and brute force that came with everything she did. She was a fierce competitor and a great humanitarian. She was taken from the world too young and we grieve that for sure. As someone who has been affected by having loved ones with Alzheimer's, I am profoundly grateful for her tenacity and willingness to put herself out for the public to put a name with this horrible disease. Research will progress and flourish thanks to her efforts.
