Shoeboxin'

This afternoon at church, we had a packing party. A shoebox packing party. It is that time of the year for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to be decorated, packed and sent all over the world to children to teach them about the true meaning of Christmas and what it is all about. The ladies in charge of this event were organized and ready to go. There were rows of hygiene items and school supplies and toys and trinkets. The shoeboxes were filled and then taken to a table where they were decorated. A note was written to go inside for the recipient to look at and the box was placed on a cart to be taken to the drop off point. The packers completed 159 shoeboxes in an hour. I think that is pretty great! That does not include the shoeboxes filled by individual church members and families. God is good for sure!
